On Saturday, 5 January 2013, in the afternoon at 13:32, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Tirkšliai–Žemalė–Račiai regional road (kilometre 5.65), an Opel Frontera rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.61‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
