On Monday, 7 January 2013, in the morning at 6:40, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 60.60), a Renault Premium registered in Belarus hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Renault (a citizen of Belarus) (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
