On Thursday, 10 January 2013, in the morning at 9:30, in Kėdainių district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street, at the junction with S. Dariaus ir S. Girėno street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Kamaz 4528, a GKB 8527 and a Mercedes-Benz 1617. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Kamaz (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
