On Saturday, 19 January 2013, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Vilnius, on I. Šimulionio street near No. 10, at the junction with A. J. Pavilaičio street, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 607 and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (1.47‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
