On Sunday, 20 January 2013, at night at 0:54, in Vilnius, on Žirmūnų street, at the junction with Kareivių street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 and a Volkswagen Phaeton. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.35‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy.
