On Sunday, 20 January 2013, in the afternoon at 12:24, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Peidžiai–Maženiai–Raguva regional road (kilometre 6), a Citroen BX rolled over. Three people were injured — the 21-year-old driver of the Citroen (severely injured, hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt), a 23-year-old passenger of the Citroen (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 17-year-old passenger of the Citroen (severely injured, hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Citroen, who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to choose a safe speed and was driving a vehicle with faults the traffic rules prohibit driving with. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
