On Tuesday, 22 January 2013, in the evening at around 18:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Drobūkščių village, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 102.97), a Nissan Juke hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Nissan (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
