On Friday, 25 January 2013, in the evening at 20:56, in Utenos district municipality, Antalgės village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 124.05), a BMW 320 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
