On Sunday, 27 January 2013, at night at 0:50, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 97), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Volvo (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
