On Tuesday, 29 January 2013, in the morning at around 8:00, in Tauragės district municipality, on Šilalės street, at the junction with Bokšto street, a Peugeot 607 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Peugeot (19 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
