On Tuesday, 29 January 2013, in the evening at 21:35, in Tauragės district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 151), a Toyota Land Cruiser hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Toyota (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
