On Sunday, 3 February 2013, at night at around 1:00, in Telšių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 66), a Dacia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Dacia (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
