On Sunday, 3 February 2013, at night at 1:45, in Kupiškio district municipality, on the Daugpilis–Rokiškis–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 81.60), a Volvo FH12 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Uzbekistan) (26 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
