On Thursday, 31 January 2013, in the evening at 20:59, in Šalčininkų district municipality, Naujasodžio village, on the Jašiūnai–Turgeliai–Tabariškės regional road (kilometre 0.25), a Ford Escort hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
