On Tuesday, 5 February 2013, in the evening at 18:55, in Kaunas, on R. Kalantos street near No. 40, an Audi A4 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person died — a 77-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Audi (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
