On Wednesday, 6 February 2013, in the evening at around 17:00, in Biržų district municipality, on the Biržai–Germaniškis national road (kilometre 2.10), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
