On Thursday, 7 February 2013, in the morning at 7:30, in Tauragės district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Vytauto street, a vehicle hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 53-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
