On Sunday, 10 February 2013, at night at 0:34, in Vilnius, on V. Šopeno street, at the junction with Šv. Stepono street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Honda Civic and a Fiat 500. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Honda (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
