On Friday, 15 February 2013, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 9.21), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Czechia) (34 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
