On Monday, 18 February 2013, in the afternoon at 11:40, in Klaipėda, on Šiaurės pr., at the junction with Pievų street, a BMW 530 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the BMW (19 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.67‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
