On Monday, 18 February 2013, in the afternoon at 12:30, in Vilnius, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Eišiškių pl., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and an Audi A6 Quattro. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Audi 80, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
