On Tuesday, 19 February 2013, in the afternoon at 16:45, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 150.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen LT 28, a Volvo FH 42T registered in Poland and a Magyar SR34 registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
