On Saturday, 23 February 2013, at night at around 3:00, in Vilnius, on Apkasų street, at the junction with Minties street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Renault Clio and a Volkswagen Caravelle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Renault (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
