On Saturday, 23 February 2013, in the afternoon at 15:15, in Biržų district municipality, Butniūnų village, on the Kupiškis–Vabalninkas–Biržai national road (kilometre 36.85), a MAN TGS 26.440 6X2/2 BLS rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the MAN (22 years of driving experience), who was driving a vehicle with faults the traffic rules prohibit driving with. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). A Zaslaw had recorded faults (sukabinimo įrenginio). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
