On Sunday, 24 February 2013, at night at around 2:00, in Vilnius, on Vilniaus street, at the junction with Lentvario street, an Opel Omega hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.27‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
