On Thursday, 28 February 2013, in the afternoon at 11:50, in Tauragės district municipality, Taurų village, on Tilžės pl., at the junction with Žemaičių street, a Ford Galaxy hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 11-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and a 11-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Ford (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
