On Friday, 1 March 2013, in the evening at around 22:00, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 35), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 406 and a Peugeot 206. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Peugeot 406 (9 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
