On Sunday, 10 March 2013, in the afternoon at 12:30, in Tauragės district municipality, on J. Tumo-Vaižganto street near No. 126, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Nissan Almera. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Audi, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.77‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
