On Thursday, 7 March 2013, in the morning at 9:30, in Šilalės district municipality, Varsėdžių village, on the Upyna–Varsėdžiai–Naujasis Obelynas regional road (kilometre 9), a Subaru Legacy ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Subaru, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober.
