On Friday, 22 March 2013, in the evening at 19:45, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 17), a DAF FT XF95 registered in Poland rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Poland) (27 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
