On Sunday, 7 April 2013, at night at 3:35, in Vilnius, on Mindaugo street, at the junction with J. Basanavičiaus street, a Chrysler 300M hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Chrysler (9 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. A 32-year-old pedestrian was drunk (1.52‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
