On Monday, 8 April 2013, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Panevėžys, on Ukmergės street near No. 23, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Honda Stream hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 50-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Honda (26 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
