On Saturday, 27 April 2013, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kaunas, on Šauklių street near No. 35, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Tigra and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
