On Saturday, 27 April 2013, in the afternoon at 15:20, in Prienų district municipality, on the Strielčiai–Pociūnai regional road (kilometre 5.80), a Mitsubishi Pajero ran off the road. One person was injured — a 17-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (23 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
