On Saturday, 11 May 2013, in the evening at 19:30, in Vilnius, on Gelvonų street near No. 3, a Ford Mondeo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Ford (31 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
