On Sunday, 12 May 2013, in the morning at 5:45, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 34.15), a Volvo FH registered in Latvia hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Latvia) (9 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations.
