On Sunday, 12 May 2013, in the morning at 9:40, in Šilalės district municipality, Struikų village, on the Mažonai–Šakvietis–Šilalė regional road (kilometre 27.30), an Audi 80 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.41‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
