On Saturday, 11 May 2013, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on Kalvarijos street near No. 103, a Piaggio Hexagon hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — the 14-year-old driver of the Piaggio (severely injured, hospitalized) and a 16-year-old passenger of the Piaggio (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 14-year-old driver of the Piaggio, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
