On Tuesday, 14 May 2013, in the evening at 20:43, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 36.30), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
