On Thursday, 16 May 2013, at night at around 1:00, in Klaipėda, on Sausio 15-osios street, at the junction with Birutės street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane Scenic and a Honda Accord. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.78‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
