On Tuesday, 14 May 2013, in the afternoon at 16:01, in Kalvarijos municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 87.17), a Scania R 114 L registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Scania (34 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
