On Saturday, 18 May 2013, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Panevėžys, on Kosmonautų street, at the junction with Klaipėdos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 and a Citroen C5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
