On Saturday, 18 May 2013, at night at 23:23, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 22.25), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and an Opel Omega. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to give way when changing direction.
