On Friday, 17 May 2013, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kaunas, on Varnių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Solaris Urbino 12 and a bicycle. One person was injured — a 28-year-old cyclist (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Solaris (40 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. A 28-year-old cyclist was drunk. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
