On Saturday, 25 May 2013, in the afternoon at 13:08, in Biržų district municipality, on the Pasvalys–Vabalninkas regional road (kilometre 25.15), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Audi (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.19‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
