On Monday, 27 May 2013, in the afternoon at 11:15, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 99), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania P 94 GB, a Peugeot J 5 and a Subaru Legacy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Scania (32 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
