On Monday, 27 May 2013, in the evening at 18:49, in Jonavos district municipality, Gudžionių village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 35.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz A170, an Audi 100 and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
