On Monday, 27 May 2013, in the evening at 21:48, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on Nepriklausomybės street, a BMW 525 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.05‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
