On Friday, 31 May 2013, in the morning at around 6:00, in Alytus, on Ulonų street near No. 12, in a yard, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323 and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
