On Friday, 31 May 2013, in the evening at 22:40, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Anulynai–Tirkšliai regional road (kilometre 23.35), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (19 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
